Executive Director
Heidi Young
In her role as Executive Director, Heidi is responsible for overseeing all business attraction, retention, and expansion activities in Spencer County, as well as partnering with community and regional stakeholders on community development, quality of life, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, and workforce development efforts. A Spencer County native, Heidi graduated from Indiana University with her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Public Management. Prior to her current role, Heidi worked as a leader for a prominent national retailer. Heidi and her husband Nick live in Santa Claus, Indiana with their two children.

Spencer County Economic Development is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization. We rely on funding from both public and private partners to deliver on our mission. For the 2022 fiscal year, 45% of our annual funds came from partnerships with community-minded businesses as well as organizations, like yours.
